Who we are and scope
Nova Tech AI Limited, Hong Kong, operates PDF Reader - Scan & Edit (Android package com.novatechai.pdfreader.scanedit). This policy covers the application and support interactions for this product. Contact: developer@novatechai.xyz.
Documents, images and signatures
The application accesses documents or images you choose, folders you grant access to, and files available through Android storage permissions. It processes PDF reading, conversion, editing, merging and handwritten signatures on your device. Local data can include imported files, generated copies, thumbnails, recent files, favorites, edit history and saved signature images. A handwritten signature image is document content; the app does not use it for biometric identification. The app has no cloud AI document-analysis or cloud document-storage feature. Sharing or printing a file sends it to the app, service or printer you select, under that recipient’s practices.
Permissions and your choices
The app can request all-files access to discover and manage supported documents across shared storage. Android file or photo pickers provide access to selected items. You can deny or revoke permissions in Android Settings; some discovery and file-management functions may then be unavailable. Scanning uses Google Play services document scanning, with its own camera interface; required components may be downloaded. Notification permission controls reminders and notifications and can be changed in system settings. We do not request precise GPS location for document tools.
Usage, device and diagnostic information
The app integrates Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config and Firebase Cloud Messaging. These services may process app interactions, session and installation identifiers, device model, operating system and app version, crash traces, performance diagnostics, IP-derived approximate location, notification registration tokens and delivery or interaction events. Remote configuration provides feature and advertising settings. Install referral information may be used to understand acquisition. The app also contacts api.ipify.org to resolve its public IP address. This is not a promise that no data leaves your device.
Advertising
The app contains Google AdMob advertising and an optional Unity mediation integration. Advertising services may collect or share IP address and approximate location derived from it, advertising or other device identifiers, ad interactions, app interactions and diagnostics for advertising, measurement, security and fraud prevention. Consent requests are presented where applicable through Google’s User Messaging Platform. Advertising availability and personalization depend on region, consent, device settings and provider policies. You can manage supported advertising privacy controls in Android Settings.
Other SDKs and service providers
The build retains Meta Core and Adjust libraries because the supplied notification component references their types. We do not configure Meta or Adjust accounts or call the application-level initialization for those services; Meta automatic initialization, automatic events and advertiser ID collection are disabled. This does not mean these library files have been removed from the application. Our separate custom event-reporting backend is disabled in the current configuration. Notification and configuration services still use the data described above. Providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies, including Google/Firebase and Unity.
Support and disclosure
If you email us, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. Please minimize personal information. Information may be disclosed to service providers, to comply with law, or to investigate abuse and protect rights and safety. Ad services may use information for advertising across services; do not interpret this policy as a claim that all third parties act only as our processors.
Retention, deletion and rights
Local preferences, caches and app-private files remain until cleared, overwritten or removed. Exported documents and shared-storage files may remain after uninstalling; manage them through the app or your file manager. Android backup settings may preserve or restore app data. Clearing app storage or uninstalling does not automatically delete records held by advertising or analytics providers or files sent to other recipients. Provider retention follows their policies and applicable settings. You may request access, correction, deletion or other applicable privacy rights for data we control by contacting developer@novatechai.xyz. We may need to verify your request and retain records required by law or security; do not send identity documents unless a suitable verification method has been agreed.
International processing and security
Providers may process data outside Hong Kong and your country. We use HTTPS for app network connections and reasonable protective measures, but no system is completely secure. We do not promise all local or third-party data is encrypted at rest, zero retention, or a particular geographic storage location. Protect your device and keep backups of important documents.
Children and updates
This application is a general document utility and is not designed for children under 13 or a higher age where local law requires it. We do not knowingly seek personal data from children below that age. Contact us if you believe such data has been provided. We will update this policy when practices change and provide additional notice or consent where required.
