AI Data Processing — Google Gemini

This is our explanation, not Google’s policy

Nova Tech AI Limited explains LumaSignal’s use of Google Gemini here. Google’s official privacy policy and Gemini API terms are linked below. We do not reproduce or replace those documents.

What is sent

Only consented compressed meal photos and food-analysis context are sent through our backend. Google receives the request and generates a response for calorie and food estimates. Face frames, face videos, finger frames and sleep recordings are not sent. There is no face disease-risk AI feature in the current version.

Our storage and your choices

The image proxy handles requests in memory without image storage; local temporary photos are removed after the request. Locally saved structured reports remain until deleted. Operational metadata and third-party records are separate from photo storage. You may decline the upload or clear local data and consent in Settings. Do not submit confidential, identifying or unnecessary sensitive content.

Google’s handling

Under Gemini API paid-service terms, prompts and responses are not used to improve Google products, but limited security/abuse logging and legally required processing can still occur. This treatment depends on an active billing-linked API project. Unpaid-service terms permit improvement use and human review and prohibit sensitive or personal inputs. We do not promise zero retention by Google. Google’s current terms and actual configuration take precedence.

Availability and accuracy

Provider-dependent functions are subject to provider terms, supported regions and outages. AI can misidentify foods and portions and must not be used for clinical care, diagnosis, medical advice or allergy decisions. Adding a privacy notice does not establish regional permission or clinical validation.
