MenuWorkbench Privacy Policy
Effective: 3 October 2026. This policy applies to the MenuWorkbench macOS app, provided by Nova Tech AI Limited, Hong Kong SAR, China. For privacy questions, contact developer@novatechai.xyz.
1. App data stays on your Mac
MenuWorkbench requires no account and includes no advertising, third-party analytics SDK, tracking, or app cloud sync. The app does not send your notes, tasks, focus history, deadlines, clipboard text, calendar events, reminders or computer-status readings to us. Business records are stored in the local app container, with preferences stored locally by macOS. Text tools process your input locally.
2. Optional system permissions
Calendar full access is used to show the current or next meeting and its join link. The app does not create or edit calendar events. Reminders full access is used to display, add and complete system reminders. These are the permission scopes provided by macOS; the app uses them for the features described here. You choose whether to grant access and can revoke it in System Settings. Notifications are local and are used for focus, breaks and enabled proactive reminders; you can disable them. Selecting a component combination does not grant Calendar or Reminders permission.
3. Clipboard history
Monitoring runs only while the clipboard component is enabled. It records ordinary text locally and skips content explicitly marked concealed, transient or automatically generated. Ordinary text can still contain passwords or private information. You can disable the component, delete entries or clear unpinned history. Pinned entries must be deleted individually. Clipboard history is not uploaded to us.
4. Retention, backups and deletion
App records remain locally until you delete them or remove the app data. Removing the app may leave its container and preferences behind. Exported JSON backups are unencrypted and may contain clipboard text and other records. Import replaces business records and saves a local pre-import rollback copy; preferences, permissions and active timers are not migrated. To remove all copies, delete the local container and preferences, exported backups and rollback files. We cannot remotely access or delete data stored only on your Mac; email us for removal instructions. macOS, your backups or a folder you select for export may retain copies under your own settings.
5. Purchases and external services
App Store purchases and payments are processed by Apple under Apple's policies. We do not receive your payment-card details through this app. If you open a meeting link, custom link, browser-based speed test or website, the destination may receive normal browser information and its own policy applies. Calendar and Reminders accounts may independently sync through their providers. MenuWorkbench does not itself provide this cloud sync.
6. Website visits and support messages
This app's no-upload design is separate from this public website and support email. The company website server may record IP address, requested path, request time and browser information in access or error logs for operation and security. These policy pages do not add analytics, advertising cookies or a contact form. If you email us, we receive your address and anything you voluntarily include. We use support messages to respond, resolve issues and maintain necessary correspondence, and retain them only as needed for those purposes or legal obligations. We do not sell these messages or use them for advertising. Hosting and email providers process relevant website or support information as part of delivering those services; information may be processed outside your location. Do not send passwords, payment details or unredacted backups.
7. Your choices and requests
You can revoke permissions, stop clipboard monitoring and remove local records. For requests relating to information you sent to support, email developer@novatechai.xyz; we will respond according to applicable law and may need proportionate information to verify the request. No in-app account or account-deletion flow is required because the app has no account system. The app is not designed to request children's personal information; avoid sending such information in support messages.
8. Changes and contact
